Room Prep and Benchwork Construction

Construction began in May of 2003. Actually, I had to first disassemble my previous layout which never came close to completion. Once my wife and I repainted the two walls, I installed 12 fluorescent lights and 9 incandescent track lights. I also installed two ceiling fans which also have blue lights installed for night time simulation. Then the bench-work began. I used CADRail which allowed me to print 1:1 plans on printer paper and piece them all together, giving me my template for laying track. The bench-work was completed in June of 2004 along with the laying of the mainline track.
